Dr Hamid Naliyawala

Dr Naliyawala has over 26 years experience working in the NHS, since 2000 he has mainly worked in East Sussex both with outpatient and inpatient teams as well as having senior management roles as medical and clinical director. Before coming to the UK he worked in Pakistan at the prestigious Aga Khan University in Karachi where he was Assistant Professor in Psychiatry.

Hamid has vast experience in the assessment and treatment of most adult mental health conditions including Depression, Bipolar disorders, Psychosis, Anxiety disorders including OCD, Perinatal disorders and Adult ADHD. He also works with a clinical psychologist to provide assessments for Adult Autism. He is fluent in Urdu and English and can understand Punjabi, Gujirati and Hindi.

Hamid has worked in private practice since 2000 at the Eastbourne Clinic and Esperance in Eastbourne and is now pleased to be able to provide assessments and treatment at Flint Healthcare.

He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Hamid has gained the deserved reputation as a compassionate, caring and reliable psychiatrist who takes a holistic view in patients’ assessments, treatment and capacity for recovery.

He is an avid sport enthusiast and is passionate about cricket.
